Community Services

Cherry Street Mission Ministries is able to provide emergency care and other vital services because of the generous donations of the time, talent, and treasures of individuals, families, churches, and area businesses in the Toledo metro area. The Community Services department is responsible for all gift-in-kind donations and volunteers at Cherry Street Mission Ministries.

Volunteers
At Cherry Street, we provide a safe environment for individuals or groups interested in volunteering their time and energy to a worthwhile cause. The outstanding effort of volunteers is invaluable to the daily operations of helping those in need. There are many volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups including, serving meals, mentoring, life coaching, conducting chapel services, fundraising, cleaning, sorting in the food and clothing banks, helping in the administrative offices, doing specialized work projects and much more!

Gift In Kind Donations
Gift In Kind donations are anything donated that is not cash, such as food, clothing, toiletries, household items, appliances, and furniture. Cherry Street gratefully accepts new and gently used items.

Community Services Network
This program provides a solution to individuals and families by matching them with churches, agencies, and organizations that can make provision for their specific needs.

If you are a church, agency, or part of an organization that would like to help individuals and families by meeting their requested needs, please call the Community Services Department. We will ask you a few questions to identify how your group can help, and then we will be able to connect you to the individual or family whose needs your group can best accommodate.
