Food Services
Cherry Street serves men and women every day to help meet their most basic need of eating a balanced meal. In 2006, Cherry Street served 158,773 meals to men, women, and children. We receive food donations from individuals, churches, and corporations. Hundreds of volunteers help Cherry Street to prepare, serve, and clean up meals.

Men’s Emergency Shelter
The men’s division, located on Monroe and 17th Street, has 150 beds and overflow mats. The Ready For Life Program is available to all men who come to us for services. The Ready For Life program offers a wide range of classes which include: Relapse Prevention, Thinking For a Change, Offended No More and many others.

Women’s Emergency Shelter
The Sparrow's Nest, located at 436 W. Delaware, provides safe emergency shelter for single women, with food, clothing, and hygiene items. The facility has been completely renovated and is a fully operational facility for women with 52 beds. The first floor is primarily an emergency shelter while the second floor is for the Ready for Life Program (RFL).

Food, Clothing, and Household Needs
Cherry Street distributes food, clothing, and household items to individuals and families in this community. We give food baskets and clothing to those in need at no charge. We also pick up large appliances and furniture and deliver these items to people who are in need.
