Gift In Kind Truck Driver (part-time)

The incumbent of this position is responsible for supporting the Gift In Kind department at the LifeBridge Center, located at 3342 Monroe St. in Toledo, Ohio, by scheduling the pick-up of donations and delivering items for use by the organization or for distribution to the community or within the organization. |

Coordinate activities of volunteers assisting with pickups and deliveries by following and enforcing operational and personnel procedures. Work within a team environment, assisting where needed. |

Stewardship |
Receives and receipts items donated by picking up donations as scheduled and unloading trucks at drop-off site; inspecting donated items; distribute supplies internally between locations. Maintains operational integrity by asking appropriate questions, using resources wisely, and striving to eliminate all waste. Ensure superior customer service to the public. Provide training, coaching, address needs of volunteer(s) and employee(s). Efficiently schedule trips for pickup of goods. Maintain a safe work environment, adhere to OSHA, and other regulatory agency sanitation standards, Ohio Motor Vehicle laws, and organizational policies. Maintain vehicle and security of the facility and inventory. Receive monetary and food donations. Ensure safe delivery of monetary donations to Gift In-Kind Manager. |

Environment |
Work environment is primarily outdoors. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures may be required. Local travel (4-5 days per week) is required. |

Accountability |
Perform vehicle pre-trip inspections daily. Maintain daily trip schedules and mileage logs. Track receipts for fuel usage. Distribute inventory information as needed. Communicate with food service team daily via email. |

Work Hours |
This position is scheduled for 28 hours per week. Primary work days are Monday through Friday, and hours are usually during day shift anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Must be flexible to work slightly varying hours as necessary, including some weekends. One (1) Saturday per month may be required. |

Skills |
Must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. Be proficient in basic computer knowledge, spreadsheet and word processing, email usage. Maintain a valid Driver’s License and clean BMV history. Ability to lift over 50 lbs. consistently, and able to lift more than that less frequently. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to remain flexible as priority change quickly. |

Education |
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred. |
