Cherry Street Mission

Responsible for:

• Operations of the facility: answering phones and door, monitoring guest activity, welcoming donors and volunteers, maintaining cleanliness, order, and a safe environment for all.
• Completing Intakes/orientations on new guests and readmitting/exiting guests from facility.
• Meeting 1-on-1 with guests as often as possible; documentation of these meetings.
• Participating in staff meetings.
• Communicating maintenance needs/requests to Facilities Director/Men’s Director.
• Providing emotional, mental and spiritual counsel for Emergency Shelter guests.
• Assisting in maintaining policy standards.
• Cooperating with fellow team members, and coworkers in the ministry.

• Shall be a mature, born-again Christian and be in fellowship with a local Christian church.
• Must provide a clear biblical testimony of a personal experience of receiving by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and give evidence of His presence in daily living.  Must desire to serve the Lord in the ministry of rescue.
• Must subscribe to the bylaws and Statement of Faith of the organization.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in same or related field preferred.
• Be able to effectively communicate with guests, agencies, volunteers and co-workers.
• Shall exhibit a primary love to serve the Lord Jesus Christ; a desire to serve women in meeting their physical needs and winning them to the Lord Jesus and will disciple them in the Christian faith.
• Must be proficient in Word and Outlook.
• Must be organized and have the ability to perform a variety of tasks.
• Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to engage others in the work of Cherry Street Mission Ministries.
• Documenting all work done and communicating in written and verbal form all work done on shift
